1832 Pattern Officer’s Broadsword, with etching on the blade of the Black Watch cap badge. The broadsword features the classic basket-hilt. The grip is bound in black rayskin and wrapped with twisted steel wire. The straight, fullered blade measures approximately 815mm in length, with the sword measuring around 980mm overall when out of its scabbard.
The blade is beautifully etched with regimental motifs, including the thistle and badge of the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) as well as the Royal Coat of Arms, Elizabeth II (ERII) cypher and other flourishes. These markings remain clear and legible, with only minor age-related wear. The nickel-plated steel scabbard is fitted with twin suspension rings and a ball chape
