British 1853, second type artillery ‘yataghan’ sword bayonet with scabbard. Regimental markings on the scabbard that seem to read “1, 64, E, 18R. RA, 1”. Previously spray painted in gold, some of which are still on the bayonet. Yataghan style 575mm single-edged, single-fullered blade. Compressed leather grip with chequered finish. Marked on the ricasso “A & AS, S” (August & Albert Schnitzler, Solingen, Germany)
