French model 1866 Chassepot bayonet for bolt action needle fire rifle. Usual brass hilt with horizontal grooves, steel cross guard with swept forward quillon. 571mm recurving Yataghan blade with two fullers, one each side, complete in steel scabbard. Markings on spine ground out, no serial numbers.
