WWI German Seitengewher 1884/98 saw back bayonet with wood grips held in with bolts and flash guard on the back. Marked on ricasso ‘Samsonwerk’ with a crown on the spine, the rest of which is ground or polished out. The pommel is marked with what I believe is “FA” with a crown above, indicating Saxony from 1904 onwards.
Condition: Good, the scabbard’s paint is severely chipped with minor pitting. The pommel is also lightly rusted. One side of the grip is seemingly burnt.
