Antique Masonic sword dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, traditionally carried by Freemasons during ceremonial processions and lodge meetings.
This sword features a blunt, straight steel blade with a flat point and no visible markings or etching. The hilt is fitted with a brass Maltese cross-style crossguard and round brass pommel. The grip is wrapped with a thin black leather, bound with twisted brass wire
Complete with a brass-mounted black leather scabbard. These swords were privately purchased by lodge members, and designs vary depending on the rank and order within Freemasonry.
This is an excellent display piece for collectors of Masonic regalia, fraternal organisation antiques, or early 20th-century swords in general.
Condition: Good, the blade shows minor wear with spots of rust and appears to have the etching removed. The hilt has some damage, with chunks of the handle missing. The scabbard is in sound condition with some light wear to the leather.
