Restrike of the cap badge worn by the 23rd Hussars, a war-raised cavalry regiment formed in 1940 and disbanded in 1946 after distinguished service in North-West Europe, including Normandy, the advance into Germany, and the liberation of concentration camps.
This pattern features the regiment’s distinctive central “H”, surmounted by the King’s Crown, and the scroll below “23RD HUSSARS”—an iconic design associated with one of Britain’s short-lived but highly decorated armoured regiments.
The restrike faithfully replicates the proportions and detailing of original wartime examples. Constructed in bimetal (gilding metal and white metal) with crisp definition, it is fitted with a hook slider on the reverse. Ideal for collectors of WWII cavalry and armoured regiment insignia.
