Uniform button of the 7th (Royal Fusiliers) Battalion, City of London Regiment. Buttons of this type were worn on service dress and full dress uniforms and reflect the battalion’s identity within the Royal Fusiliers while retaining the City of London connection.
Manufactured in brass and die-struck with clear detail, the button bears the Royal Fusiliers flaming grenade with the number “7”, within a wreath and scroll reading “City of London”. The reverse is fitted with a fixed shank for sewing to uniform garments.
Diameter
20mm
Condition
Very good, with crisp detail and an even-aged patina. Light surface wear is present, consistent with age and period use, and the shank remains intact and secure.
