Description
Argentine Mauser Model 1891 bayonet with scabbard and Aluminium alloy grips, designed for use on the 7.65 mm Argentine M1891 Mauser rifle. M1891 bayonets were produced in Germany by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum, & Co. of Solingen. Production switched to aluminium grips, in mid-1893, after originally making 40,000 brass grip bayonets.
400mm single fullered single-edge steel blade, complete in blued scabbard with oval frog stud. 54cm overall length in scabbard.
Overall condition: Excellent however the coat of arms has been removed, meaning it was likely sold out of service in the 1950s
