General Service Medal (GSM) with “MALAYA” clasp, originally awarded to British and Commonwealth service personnel for operational service during the Malayan Emergency between 16 June 1948 and 31 July 1960. This medal design represents the King George VI issue, authorised in 1949.
The replacement medal replicates the original design, featuring the crowned effigy of King George VI on the obverse and the standing figure of Victory bestowing a wreath upon the emblems of the Army (the sword) and the RAF (the wings). The medal is correctly fitted with the green and purple ribbon and the “Malaya” clasp riveted with a long rod.
A high-quality full-size replacement copy die-struck in silver-plated metal.
