Bahawalpur–Pakistan Alliance Medal, issued in 1947 to commemorate the formal alliance between the Princely State of Bahawalpur and the newly independent Dominion of Pakistan. This medal marked Bahawalpur’s decision to accede to Pakistan following the Partition of British India — a key political move during the chaotic and transformative events of post-colonial South Asia.
Struck in cupro-nickel, the medal is suspended from a striped ribbon in the colours of the Bahawalpur state and Pakistan’s flag.
Condition: Very good. Minor wear; ribbon present and intact. Medal surfaces retain good detail with minimal tarnish or loss to finish.
