Tamgha-e-Itehad Bahawalpur-Pakistan 1947 or ‘Bahawalpur-Pakistan Alliance Medal 1947’ Iinstituted by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V Abbasi to commemorate the accession of Bahawalpur to the Dominion of Pakistan and the conclusion of the treaty of union on 3rd October 1947. Awarded in a single class, an octagonal cupro nickel medal with laterally-pierced ball suspension; the face with the head and shoulders portrait of Amir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V facing left, circumscribed in Urdu By the Grace of God Sadiq Mohammed Abbasi Fifth. Ruler of God Gifted Kingdom of Bahawalpur ; the reverse with the crossed flags of Bahawalpur (left) and Pakistan (right), a star and crescent imposed centrally, five five-pointed stars to either side, inscribed above Bahawalpur-Pakistan Union 1947 and dated 1947 below, the inscription 17 zu-al-q adah 1366 Hijri at the base.
