Description
British 1888 Pattern Mk. I, 2nd Type Lee-Metford Bayonet, dated “3 ’99” (March 1899). The reverse is marked with the broad arrow and WD/Crown/25/E/X. The pommel is marked with in-facing broad arrows with a “C” on either side, meaning sold out of service, probably after its working life (the scabbard has the same marking. The spine of the ricasso is marked with the inspector mark “83”.
Overall condition: good, grips are in surprisingly good condition
