British Indian Army M1896 Mountain Artillery Sword
Steel handle sword with 760mm curved sabre blade and brass hand guard. No easily legible markings other makers marking “Robert Mole, Birmingham” on spine and ‘R’ on ricasso referring to it being sold out of service. Overall length of 865mm. Turn down quillon to hilt stamped R.P. 4.08 Obviously last issued in April 1908.
Overall condition: Good, lacking scabbard.
