An original Cambridgeshire Regiment Officer’s collar badge, made to the 1908–1961 pattern and worn throughout both World Wars and into the early post-war period. This finely crafted badge features the regiment’s distinctive castle and portcullis motif as seen on the cap badge, minus the scroll.
This version of the officers’ collar badge was struck in silver plate and worn on service and dress uniforms by officers of this distinguished Territorial infantry regiment. The Cambridgeshire Regiment saw notable action in both WWI and WWII, particularly in the Far East, including the Malayan Campaign and the fall of Singapore.
A highly desirable item for collectors of British Army insignia, Territorial Force regiments, or those engaged in accurate WWI and WWII uniform restoration.
