An original Cheshire Yeomanry (Earl of Chester’s) brass shoulder title, worn by members of this British Territorial yeomanry cavalry regiment during the early to mid-20th century. The Cheshire Yeomanry served with distinction in both World Wars as mounted troops and later as armoured and signals units.
The die-stamped brass shoulder title follows the standard yeomanry two-line design, reading “Y / CHESHIRE”, produced with integral brass loops to the reverse for secure attachment to the shoulder strap of the service tunic or battledress.
