An original East Anglia Brigade Officer’s Cap Badge, produced to the 1959–1968 pattern worn during the short-lived existence of the brigade before the formation of the Royal Anglian Regiment in 1964 and continued limited wear until the final transition in 1968. This badge represents a key transitional phase in British infantry reorganisation.

This high-quality officer’s example features:

  • The distinctive Garter star design bearing the brigade emblem and scroll “East Anglia”.

  • Gilt and silvered finish, typical of officer-grade manufacture.

  • Fine die-struck detail with a polished front and lightly textured background.

  • Two lugs on the reverse for attachment to the service dress cap.

The East Anglia Brigade unified several historic county regiments, including the Royal Norfolk Regiment, Suffolk Regiment, and Essex Regiment—making this insignia especially appealing to collectors of post-war British infantry items.
