GERMAN ‘Parade’ or ‘Walking Out’ short ‘Carbine’ blade bayonet in the scabbard by ‘Carl Eikhorn Solingen’
German ‘Walking Out’ or Parade bayonet with short ‘Carbine’ pattern blade. Nickel-plated hilt with ‘Birds head’ pommel and nickel crossguard with swept-back quillon. Diamond chequered black bakelite grips are held by two nickel-plated grip bolts. 200 mm single-edged, single fullered nickel plated ‘Carbine’ blade with short single-edged ‘clipped’ back, Ricasso marked with ‘Carl Eikhorn Solingen’ in a circlet surrounding a ‘Squirrel’ logo. Complete in a black Japanned steel scabbard.
Condition: Very good, except some lifting of plating from the pommel, and almost no finish to black japanned steel scabbard. The release catch on the pommel is also missing it’s spring
