Czechoslovakian Mauser Vz24/S24 Bayonet in Scabbard, seemingly made from new in 1942 by Waffenfabrik Brünn Werke (or “dot”), in German-occupied Czechslovakia.
War-time manufactured type rather than a conversion, marked “dot” on one side of the ricasso and “1828, h” on the reverse side, as well “42” on the spine of the blade, in line with the first two markings. With matching scabbard, marked “dot, 42” on the reverse towards the mouth of the scabbard, as well as the standard waffenampt stamp on the frog stud. Another waffenampt stamp can be found by the locking catch on the opposing side of the button.
Condition: Very good, the scabbard is rusted but not badly, the blade is in excellent condition, with minor wear to the finish.
