King’s Shropshire Light Infantry (KSLI) beret cap badge produced as a restrike of the pattern worn by the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry of the British Army. This British Army light infantry cap badge displays the recognised insignia of the regiment in clear relief, incorporating the distinctive bugle horn device, with the initials “KSLI”. The bugle horn emblem is traditionally associated with light infantry units and reflects the regiment’s historic role as a light infantry formation trained for rapid movement and skirmishing duties.
The design formed part of the regiment’s headdress insignia during the twentieth century and was worn on the beret as part of service dress. The composition follows the established style of British Army light infantry badges, combining the traditional bugle horn motif with royal and regimental elements that reflect the regiment’s long service history prior to its amalgamation in 1968.
Manufactured in bimetal (brass and white metal) consistent with service dress and beret wear, this restrike example offers a sharply defined representation of the traditional regimental pattern. King’s Shropshire Light Infantry cap badges are collected as examples of British Army light infantry militaria, regimental insignia, and historic uniform hardware.
