British Army officer’s rank star, commonly referred to as a “pip”, measuring 26mm in diameter. This finely detailed example is struck in gilt brass and features vibrant enamel inlay, typically used on service dress, mess dress, or ceremonial uniforms.
The design follows the Order of the Bath star shape, adopted for British officer ranks in the late 19th century and still in use today. Rank stars of this size are generally associated with officer ranks, rank dependent on placement and quantity worn on the shoulder or epaulettes.
Condition: Very good. Original rear lugs remain intact and functional.
