An original First World War German M1915 neuer Art (new pattern) Kugelhandgranate, rendered completely inert. The Kugelhandgranate (“ball hand grenade”) was among the earliest fragmentation grenades adopted by the Imperial German Army. The 1915 n/A variant introduced design improvements over the earlier M1913 model, including a simplified design. This example features the spherical cast-iron body with an external fragmentation pattern and retains its threaded fuze housing.
Marked on the base, however, the only visible letter is “B”
Condition
Very good. All components are fully inert and safe for display.
