An original gilding metal trade badge worn by Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) or Master Gunners in the Royal Artillery, Royal Garrison Artillery and Royal Horse Artillery. These badges feature an artillery gun and were worn on the uniform sleeve to denote specialist rank or trade proficiency

Stamped in brass, these badges were typically affixed to service dress or working uniforms previous to the Second World War, and reflect the professional standing and technical skill of artillery NCOs responsible for gunnery instruction and fire control.
