Royal Engineers cap badge produced as a restrike of the GRVI 1937–1948 pattern, representing the design worn during the reign of King George VI, including the period of the Second World War. This British Army corps cap badge displays the recognised Royal Engineers insignia in clear relief, incorporating the King’s crown above the traditional laurel wreath and GRVI cypher central device, with the Royal motto in a circlet and “Royal Engineers ” in a scroll beneath, arranged in the formal and balanced composition characteristic of British Army headdress insignia.
