A restrike example of the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment cap badge produced to the 1946–1958 pattern, the design adopted after the Second World War and used until the regiment was amalgamated into the 1st East Anglian Regiment in 1958.
This pattern features the regiment’s iconic device:

A sphinx atop a tablet bearing “EGYPT”, commemorating service in the 1801 Egyptian campaign.

Below, the scroll reading “ROYAL LINCOLNSHIRE REGIMENT”, introduced when the regiment was granted the “Royal” distinction in 1946.
