A modern-made cap badge issued to members of the Royal Marine Band based in Portsmouth. The badge features the flaming grenade in an oval wreath with the cypher of George V (GRV), executed in relief on a bright plated metal surface. Designed for attachment to peaked caps or service headdresses, it reflects the standard style and construction of British Royal Marine cap badges. The reverse is fitted with original lugs for secure attachment.
