Royal Marines brass belt buckle worn from the early 20th century through to the end of the King’s Crown era in 1953. This classic two-piece interlocking buckle features the king’s crown and lion in the centre, surrounded by the raised text “GIBRALTAR / PER MARE PER TERRAM”, all cast in brass.
This pattern was widely used across the Corps on full dress and walking-out belts and remains one of the most recognisable buckle designs associated with the Royal Marines.
