This is a bronze cap badge of the Royal Marines, produced as a restrike of the pattern used during the reigns of King George V, King George VI, and presumably under King Charles III. The design features the classic globe and laurel wreath, surmounted by the King’s Crown, a style worn by Royal Marines units until the accession of Queen Elizabeth II, and will again following the coronation of Charles III.
Die-struck in bronze with clear, well-defined relief, the badge follows the traditional Royal Marines design faithfully. The reverse is fitted with standard lugs for attachment to a cap or beret.
Dimensions
Approx. 38mm x 46mm
Condition
Excellent overall. The detail is sharp with an even bronze finish, and the lugs on the reverse remain intact and securely fixed. The surface shows only minimal handling wear.
