Royal Tank Regiment anodised aluminium button, King’s Crown, measuring 25mm in diameter. Introduced in the post-war period as a lightweight and corrosion-resistant alternative to traditional brass, anodised buttons were adopted across the British Army for service dress. The face displays the Royal Tank Regiment cypher of the initials “RTR” in running script surmounted by the King’s Crown. This 25mm size was standard issue for tunics and service jackets.
