An original South African S1 pattern bayonet intended for use with the South African issue Uzi submachine gun, complete with its period steel scabbard and webbing frog. The bayonet is a simple Belgian-inspired design with a US M3-style single false-edged parkerised blade, steel slab grips and a press-stud release catch on the pommel. No maker’s marks visible other than a number “1” on the tang.
Dimensions
Overall length (bayonet): approx. 11 inches (279mm)

Condition
Very good. In service-used condition with light wear to the steel and minor surface scratches consistent with use. The blade profile is straight with most of its original finish. The grips have some denting and wear; however, the pommel is in very good condition, and the locking mechanism is functional. The steel scabbard shows wear but is sound. No structural repairs noted.
