Original Tank Corps sweetheart brooch dating from the First World War era, typically worn by the loved ones of servicemen.
The brooch features the classic Tank Corps badge design, showing a stylised WWI-era rhomboid tank encircled by a laurel wreath with scrolls reading “TANK / CORPS”, topped by the King’s Crown. Finely cast in gilt brass, the piece is fitted with a rear horizontal broach pin.
These brooches were unofficial but widely popular tokens, worn on lapels or blouses during wartime and often retained as cherished keepsakes.
