An original Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) large pattern brass shoulder title, worn on the Service Dress uniform by personnel of the British Army’s medical branch, commonly used during the First and Second World Wars, as well as into the interwar and early post-war periods.
Struck in solid brass with serifed block capitals, this shoulder title reads “RAMC”, designed for wear on the epaulettes of medical personnel. The reverse features two copper lugs (loops) for secure attachment to a shoulder strap via a split pin or backing plate.
