8th Regiment of Foot Officer’s Shako Plate in gilt and silver. The last pattern of officer’s shako plate worn from 1869 to 1878. East-west eyed shanks on the reverse. Silver badge in the centre with VIII and the galloping horse. Original red felt and backing plate intact.
