Original British Army Corps of Military Police (CMP) cap badge, issued between 1936 and 1946, featuring the King’s Crown atop a central GRVI cypher (George VI) encircled by a laurel wreath. This badge was worn by members of the CMP throughout pre-war service, the Second World War, and into the immediate post-war period, before the corps’ re-designation as the Royal Military Police (RMP) in 1946.
