1914-15 Star, Gunner William James Crump, 2nd South Midland Brigade, Royal Field Artillery (Territorial)
Born on the 25th of March 1883 in Diglis, Worcestershire, William previously served in the Worcestershire Volunteers, Royal Garrison Artillery (which later became the 1st Worcestershire Battery, II (or 2nd) South Midland Brigade, Royal Field Artillery (TF) and re-enlisted on the 29th of September 1914. He landed in France on the 31st of March 1915, serving under the same brigade, later suffering from chronic middle ear damage, causing discharge and deafness, which he eventually recovered from. He was then wounded by a bomb, causing injuries to his face and neck and causing him to go deaf on the 7th of November 1918 and was hospitalised from the 9th of December 1918 to the 14th of January 1919 and discharged on the 11th of Febuary of the same year.
He married his wife, Minnie, in 1904 and died in 1938 in Worcester
