An original bronze officer’s service dress cap badge of the Royal Norfolk Regiment, worn between 1937 and 1959, during the reign of King George VI and into the early Elizabethan era. This pattern was specifically produced in bronze for wear with the Field Service Cap by commissioned officers, in line with British Army regulations of the time. The badge features the regiment’s emblem of Britannia seated, carrying an olive branch, trident and shield. The detailed bronze finish is darkened to suit officers’ subdued dress standards of the period.
Fitted to the reverse with two original blades (folded flat), as typical of officers’ bronze badges manufactured during the mid-20th century.
Condition: Very Good
