A 1912 Pattern Cavalry Officer’s Sword, complete with either nickel-plated steel or Sam Browne scabbard, issued during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II (ERII). This sword pattern, still used for ceremonial duties today, features a thrusting-style straight blade, designed for both parade and combat use. The blade is finely etched with scrolling floral motifs, the Royal Cypher “EIIR” (Elizabeth II Regina).

The hilt is a full steel bowl guard, engraved with an intricate floral pattern. The grip is shagreen with wire binding. The 1912 Pattern sword was the last British cavalry sword designed with actual combat in mind.

A superb piece for collectors of modern British cavalry swords, Household Division memorabilia, or formal British Army officers’ dress weapons.
