An original German 7.7cm brass shell case, cut-down and clearly dated 1936, from the early rearmament period of the Third Reich. This type of shell case was originally produced for use in WWI-era field guns such as the 7.7cm FK 16, many of which remained in service through the 1930s and during the Second World War.

This shell case has been cut to a reduced height, likely for use as an ornament, like a vase or display piece. It retains its original wartime headstamps, reading: “10/P. 1936/(Waffant Stamp)WaA107/6343”, with the primer marked “C12/n.A. /94 38/RhS13”.

A fine addition to any collection of German artillery relics, interwar militaria, or ordnance objects with historical appeal.

Condition: Good overall. The mouth is slightly distorted
