South African WW2 National Service Badge

South African WWII National Service Badge, issued during the Second World War to recognise civilian volunteers and servicemen who supported South Africa’s national war effort. These badges were worn on civilian clothing to show a person’s commitment to national service at a time when South Africa played a part in the British Commonwealth’s war effort.

This badge features the initials “NS” in a diamond-shaped bronze badge, with a horseshoe button fitting on the reverse
