Royal Marechaussee (Koninklijke Marechaussee) pocket fob badge, original example of Dutch military police memorabilia associated with the Royal Marechaussee.
The pocket fob features the insignia of the Royal Marechaussee, the national gendarmerie and military police force of the Netherlands. Designed as a compact and practical piece of insignia, pocket fobs of this type were commonly carried on the uniform breast pocket and served as both a functional item and a symbol of service and affiliation.
Founded in 1814 by William I, the Royal Marechaussee is one of the oldest branches of the Dutch armed forces. Organised along gendarmerie lines, it performs both military and civilian policing duties, including military law enforcement, border security, protection of the Royal Family, airport policing, and specialist security operations. Today, it forms part of the Netherlands Armed Forces while operating under the responsibility of both the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Justice and Security.
Manufactured in leather, enamel, and metal with an integral fitting for attachment to a button, this example represents an attractive and collectable piece of Dutch military police memorabilia.
