Devonshire Regiment collar badge of the short-lived 1899–1902 pattern, bearing the Queen Victoria Crown. These badges feature the regiment’s central castle emblem within a circular strap inscribed The Devonshire Regiment, surmounted by the Victorian Crown. This pattern was introduced at the end of the 19th century and replaced after Queen Victoria’s death in 1901, making original examples scarce. Struck in brass for other ranks’ service dress, these were worn in pairs on tunic collars. Reverse retains its original lugs for fitting.
