The badge is executed in brass with well-defined relief detail displaying the regiment’s designated insignia; “BAYS” in Old English font within a laurel wreath, surmounted by Queen Victoria’s crown. Intended for wear on the collar of dress or service uniforms, it reflects the standard style and construction of regimental accoutrements of the period. This example has been broached to the reverse for attachment.
