Light Dragoons (1992-2022 Pattern) Enamel Cap Badge, Queen’s Crown

Light Dragoons cap badge produced to the 1992–2022 pattern, introduced following the amalgamation of the 13th/18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary’s Own) and the 15th/19th The King’s Royal Hussars. This British Army light cavalry cap badge features the regiment’s Maltese Cross with “LD” initials and circlet with the motto Viret in aeternum (It Flourishes Forever)
Merebimur (We shall be Worthy), surmounted by the Queen’s Crown, reflecting service during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The design symbolises the Light Dragoons’ light cavalry heritage and continuity from its antecedent regiments.

Manufactured in bimetal and blue enamel construction, combining white metal and gilt elements, the badge displays clear and well-defined relief detailing consistent with late 20th- and early 21st-century British Army headdress insignia. Intended for wear on a cap or beret, it represents a collectable example of modern British Army cavalry insignia and Light Dragoons regimental memorabilia. The reverse is fitted with a hook slider fitting for secure attachment.
