Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment) anodised uniform button produced for wear on British Army infantry service dress and post-war uniforms. This British Army infantry button displays the recognised Royal Scots insignia in crisp relief, incorporating the regiment’s depiction of St. Andrew holding the cross and “The Royal Scots” running underneath. The anodised aluminium construction reflects the post-war adoption of lightweight, corrosion-resistant, uniform fittings intended to reduce maintenance while maintaining a smart appearance.
Royal Scots anodised buttons of this type were intended for wear on tunics and service dress uniforms and are collected as examples of modern British Army infantry militaria, Scottish regiment insignia, and post-war uniform hardware. The reverse is fitted with a traditional shank fitting for secure attachment.
Condition
Excellent overall condition with a bright anodised finish and minimal surface wear. Relief detailing remains sharp and clearly defined, and the reverse shank is intact and secure. No damage, repairs, or alterations are evident.
