6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons cap badge produced as a restrike of the pre-1922 pattern worn prior to the regiment’s amalgamation in 1922. This British Army cavalry cap badge displays the recognised insignia of the 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons in clear relief, incorporating the regiment’s traditional castle device with a scroll bearing the title “Inniskilling,” arranged in a formal composition characteristic of cavalry headdress insignia. The design reflects the regiment’s Irish heritage and its service during the Boer War and the First World War period.
Manufactured in a bimetal (brass and white metal) finish consistent with service dress wear, this restrike example offers a sharply defined representation of the original pre-1922 pattern. 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons cap badges are collected as examples of British Army cavalry militaria, Irish regiment insignia, and pre-amalgamation regimental uniform hardware. The reverse is fitted with standard lug fittings for secure attachment to a cap or helmet.
