Norfolk Regiment cap badge, a restrike following the 1898–1935 pattern worn by the regiment during the late Victorian and early interwar periods. Constructed in gilding metal and white metal, this piece features the figure of Britannia seated facing left, holding a trident and palm branch, encircled by a laurel wreath, all above a scroll inscribed “THE NORFOLK REGT.”
The Norfolk Regiment saw notable service throughout the Second Boer War (1899–1902) and later in the First World War, serving on the Western Front, Gallipoli, and Mesopotamia. This badge design remained in use until the regiment’s “Royal” title was added in the 1930s.
