Norfolk Regiment cap badge produced as a restrike of the pattern worn between 1922 and 1935 by the Norfolk Regiment of the British Army. This British Army infantry cap badge displays the recognised insignia of the regiment in clear relief, incorporating the figure of Britannia seated with shield and trident as the central device, set above a scroll bearing the regimental title “The Norfolk Regt”. The composition is arranged in a formal design characteristic of inter-war period British Army line infantry headdress insignia.

The Britannia device reflects national symbolism and long been associated with the regiment, representing its service to crown and country. This pattern of badge was worn during the inter-war years between the First and Second World Wars, prior to being awarded the “Royal” title in 1935.

Manufactured in brass consistent with service dress wear, this restrike example provides a sharply defined representation of the traditional regimental pattern. Norfolk Regiment cap badges are collected as examples of British Army infantry militaria, inter-war regimental insignia, and historic uniform hardware.
