Worcestershire Imperial Yeomanry (The Queen’s Own Worcestershire Hussars) uniform button, 25mm size, of the pattern worn between 1901 and 1908 during the early twentieth century. This brass button features the regiment’s recognised device in clear relief, incorporating a King’s crown above a flower emblem with a surrounding wreath and title reading “Queen’s Own Worcester Hussars IY”, executed in brass consistent with cavalry uniform fittings.

The Worcestershire Hussars, a yeomanry cavalry regiment, served with distinction during the Boer War and later conflicts, forming part of Britain’s volunteer mounted forces. The Queen’s Own designation reflects royal patronage, while the crown denotes service under the British sovereign. This pattern falls within the reign of King Edward VII, following the reorganisation of yeomanry units during and after the South African War. Buttons of this type were worn on service and dress uniforms, reflecting regimental identity and tradition.

Manufactured in brass with a loop shank fitting to the reverse, this example provides a well-defined representation of early twentieth-century British yeomanry insignia. Worcestershire Hussars buttons are collected as examples of cavalry memorabilia, Boer War-era militaria, and British Army uniform components.
