Imperial Service Medal, King George VI, issued between 1937 and 1948. This medal was awarded to long-serving members of the British Civil Service who completed 25 years of meritorious service, often in non-military government roles throughout the United Kingdom and the British Empire.

Struck in silver, the obverse features the crowned, left-facing profile of King George VI with the inscription “GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN: REX ET INDIAE IMP:”, used during his reign before the independence of India. The reverse bears the image of a naked man resting from his labours with the inscription “For Faithful Service”
