Corporal Edward Thomas Chinnery, 2nd (Life Guards) Battalion, Guards Machine Gun Regiment
Edward Thomas Chinnery was born on the 19th of July 1892 and lived in Woodford, Essex. He worked as a railway clerk before enlisting on the 10th of November 1914.
He served in France from the 17th of October 1915 and was promoted to Corporal on the 27th of January, 1917. He would then transfer to the 2nd (Life Guards) Guards Machine Gun Corps (service number 4396) on the 10th of May, 1918 and would resume the rank of Corporal on the 18th of May 1918.
He was demobilised on the 21st of March 1919 and worked as a plumber after the war. He died on the 21st of September 1985, Marylandsea, Maryland, Essex.
He is also entitled to 1914-15 Star and British War Medal
