Private William Edwards, 14th (Pioneers) Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers (Silver War Badge Recipient)

William Edwards was born in 1880 in Wales and lived in Benwell, Newcastle-on-Tyne.

He served in France from the 9th of September 1915 in the 14th (Pioneers) Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers, for the duration of the war, serving in the Battle of Loos. He was issued the Silver War Badge (number 102349) for a contusion to the back. He was discharged on the 31st of May, 1916, and is noted as having moved to Groeswen, Cardiff, on his pension cards.
