A contemporary miniature of the Army Long Service & Good Conduct Medal as awarded during the reign of Queen Victoria in the 1874–1901 period. These miniatures were privately produced for officers’ and senior NCOs’ mess dress or evening wear and closely follow the appearance of the officially issued full-size medal.
Description
This miniature replicates the design of the Victorian LSGC medal:

Form: Circular silver medal.

Obverse: A Trophy of Arms that incorporated a central shield bearing the Royal Coat of Arms

Reverse: Engraved inscription:
“FOR LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT” -
Suspension: Correct ornate swivel suspensor bar, typical of the 1874–1901 pattern.
